The Performance Evaluation System Research Of The Iron And Steel Industry Based On EVA

The iron and steel industry is the pillar industry of national economy in our country.The global economic slowdown had a great influence on China's steel industry.Listed steel enterprises are the main force in the steel industry.How to comprehensively and objectively evaluate the performance level of iron and steel listed companies,it has an important significance for the development of listed steel companies and the whole industry.However,there are still many problems in the traditional performance evaluation of iron and steel enterprises,such as too much emphasis on financial indicators,light value growth,out of strategic goals and so on.Therefore,the performance evaluation index system based on EVA makes up the deficiency of the traditional performance evaluation,which is conducive to the long-term development of China's steel industry.This paper constructs a performance evaluation index system based on EVA,Which combined with the enterprise's strategic analysis,select the EVA related indicators,the traditional financial indicators and reflect the characteristics of the steel industry,steel production and other non-financial indicators.Then this paper takes 26 steel listed companies 2012-2014 financial report as the research object,using factor analysis and comprehensive analysis to evaluate the operating performance of the past three years comprehensively and objectively.The study found that 26 of iron and steel enterprises performance results can distinctly reflect the downturn in the operating situation of the iron and steel industry,and also found enterprises existing poor profitability,financial risk,R&D investment insufficiency,and the quality of employees is not high.Therefore,this paper puts forward the control costs,optimizing the capital structure,increasing R&D investment,improving the quality of the whole staff and other recommendations to improve the business performance of iron and steel enterprises.
