China and South American Countries have different characteristics in agricultural resources.China has abundant labor, technical and financial resources.South American countries,by virtue of its unique geographical location and climatic conditions, have abundant land and water resources, while some South American countries achieve outstanding achievements in agricultural technology.Hence,in the view of complementary resources, the article will analyze agricultural trade between China and recourse-rich countries in South America.Based on the analysis of agricultural trade data between China and the South American countries of a decade year and the resources conditions of the South American countries, four countries with the best integrated resources are selected as analysis objects. Then, through calculations, the Chinese agricultural products with comparative advantages in South American market and the South American agricultural products with comparative advantages in Chinese market are both determined. With the actual trade data analysis, whether these agricultural products with comparative advantages entering into each others countries market or not will be known.Because the financial support of agriculture and development of agricultural science and technology have an crucial impact on agricultural trade, further analysis is about the complementary,in the aspect of agricultural finance and technology, between China and recourse-rich countries in South America.According to the above analysis, suggestions will be made to promote agricultural trade development between China and recourse-rich countries in South America under the view of complementary resources. The specific contents of this paper are as follows:First, the thesis analyzes the current agricultural situations between China and South American countries, combining the results of Index of Trade Intensity, and predict the future trend of trade.Through the Resource Endowment Index, four South American countries are selected--Argentina,Brazil,Peru and Chile, which have the best integrated agricultural resources.Second, the further study is about agricultural trade development from the angle of complementary resources between China and the four South American countries.Later analysis is consists of two parts: comparative advantage analysis and complementary analysis.During the process of comparative advantage analysis,Export Similarity Index and Revealed Comparative Advantage Index are mainly used.In this section, not only is the comparative advantages of the four South American countries' agricultural products measured in Chinese market, but also the comparative advantages of Chinese agricultural products in South American market is calculated. The paper is based on the complementary resources angle, therefore the analysis of comparative advantages of Chinese agricultural products in South American market is necessary. In the analysis of complementarity,Grubel-Lloyd Index,Bruelhart Index and Thom&McDowell Index are mainly used to observe the characteristics of intra-industry trade between China and resource-rich countries in South America.Third, based on relative literature, the complementarity between China and resource-rich countries in South America will be analyzed from agricultural finance, technology and natural resources.More attention should be paid to capital, technology and natural resources, which are vital components of agricultural trade. This part will mainly analyze the complementarity in terms of agricultural finance, agricultural technology and natural resources and complementary directions. Finally, combining the above analysis, policy recommendations are proposed from the view of complementary resources to develop agricultural trade between China and the four South American countries.
