Abstract/Summary:
Since the outbreak of the subprime crisis in 2007,the Japanese yen as a safe haven currency,has maintained a strong appreciation trend,until the end of 2012,the yen began to fall.In December 2012,Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo came to power,the Japanese government joint central bankbegan to implementmonetary easing policy in the purpose of intervening the marketin an attempt to curb the yen over high so as to pull the Japanese economy out of the mire.Since the end of 2012,the yen has been continued to fall,the yen against the RMB exchange rate fell from 0.074 in December 2014 to 0.051 in December 2012.The Japanese corporations in China engaged in Sino Japanese trade,usingthe traditional us dollars as well as a great amount of Japanese yenas the payment settlement.The Japanese yen against the RMB exchange rate fluctuations will cause a certain exchange rate risk to the Japanese corporations in China,which use the Japanese yen as the settlement currency.It is worth researchingthe way to control the exchange rate risk through effective measures,preventing utmost from the inventory value shrinking,avoiding the devaluation of the payment in transit,creating extra exchange earning.Firstly,the author introduces the purpose and significance of this study,and defines the main concepts.Secondly,review the trade situation between China and Japan and the exchange rate of the yen against the RMB.To analysis exchange rate risk which probably occurin this trade environment combining with the exchange rate risk management research at home and abroad as a theoretical basis.Finally,taking HC group,a Japanese corporation in China as an example,summarizes the exchange rate risk in Sino-Japan trade,and puts forward the solutions and measures to deal with the exchange rate risk.
