"Belt And Road Initiative" Background Of Guangzhou Port Development Orientation Research

"Belt and Road Initiative" is a major national strategy by the creator,the general secretary Xi Jinping,is the core of China's opening and development strategy in the new period.The strategy highlights the Chinese government attaches great importance to cooperation and win-win cooperation with many developing countries,with the development of a clear direction.Guangzhou is the starting point of the maritime Silk Road,but also the first to reform and opening up.Guangzhou port is located in the Pearl River Estuary,since the reform and opening up has become a national shipping hub.The "Belt and Road Initiative" brought the development opportunity of port cities along the route.How can Guangzhou port take the opportunity of the national strategy to become the core strength of Guangzhou to become the international metropolis,is the focus of attention of the Guangzhou municipal government and departments at all levels.In this paper,through empirical research methods,literature analysis and comparative research methods,consulted and collected a large number of "The Belt and Road",the development of port city,the development of international shipping industry,port development planning and other relevant information.By the application of SWOT analysis and evaluation of Guangzhou port,the paper pointed out the difficulties when Guangzhou plans to build an international marine center to cope with "Belt and Road Initiative".Finally,gives suggestions on how the Guangzhou municipal government to promote the transformation and upgrading of Guangzhou port,make it become the first-class international hub port.The conclusion of this paper is: with the deepening of economic globalization,widespread use of information technology,the traditional port can not meet the needs of the rapid development of the modern shipping port,the port have to actively upgrade to remain competitive.Therefore,as the port city of Guangzhou should seize the good opportunity of "The Belt and Road",to make a long-term and scientific developing plan to Guangzhou port.Making the Guangzhou port into an international first-class hub,and also promote the construction of Guangzhou international shipping center at the same time.To further consolidate the core city of Guangzhou regional position,and then provide the impetus for the building of Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area.
