Under the integrated contracting model,the leading role of design stage is prominent,as an important basis for the general contractor to carry out the design work,owner's requirement is the core of reducing the design risk and providing directions for the design,in order to ensure the success,even the value adding of project.However,the owners,influenced by their own information cognition and value perception factors,for its own needs with uncertainty,creating obstruction for owner's requirement transformation into design,resulting in general contractor design on the intention of the owners are not allowed to grasp,and failed to fully meet the design intent of the owners,indirectly led to the loss of the value of construction project,even rupture the cooperation between two sides.The existing research points out that the main reason of requirement uncertainty and fuzziness is the existence of implicit requirement.So how to identify the owner's implicit requirement and make it explicit becomes an important part of requirement transformation.Because of the project value-added depends on the extent to meet the owner's requirement,and implicit requirement is the core of value creation,who can fully explain the value-added space,therefore,how to realize and meet the owner's implicit requirement is the key to reveal the value-added path of project.In view of the owner's requirement is a comprehensive embodiment of balance of the stakeholders' value requirements,this study based on perspective of EPC project owner's requirement,through identify the owner's explicit and implicit requirement,trying to break the prisoner's dilemma of requirement transformation;and starting from the way how to meet the owner's requirement,hoping to open the "black box" of enhance the owner satisfaction,and reveal the realization of value-added path of project.Thus,to provide direction for the general contractor to targeted to meet the owner's requirement,and to realize the value-added of project.The study mainly includes the following two parts:Firstly,the identification of owner's explicit and implicit requirement in EPC project.Based on literature,case project and the national(local)documents to get the original data of EPC projects owner's requirement,and the data are integrated and rooted in the analysis to identify the owner's explicit and implicit requirement of EPC project,including the realization of contract objectives,function improvement,risk management,optimization,coordination,communication,cooperation and information integration.On this basis,combined with the existing literature to sum up and explain the difficulties of realizing owners' requirement.Secondly,the construction of the theoretical model of value-added realization path of EPC project.Based on multiple case studies,further to analyze how general contractor to achieve the owner's explicit and implicit requirement,the study selects three EPC projects,which both success projects and have highly owner satisfaction,to analyze the requirement realization,so as to reveal the project value-added path.Including: "three" of project management system and the realization of the project contract goal;engineering structure optimization and function improvement;whole process risk control mechanism and risk management;value innovation and optimization;resources integration and coordination,communication,cooperation;data information management and information integration.
