Research On A Method Of The Model Driven Automatically Thematic Mapping

The thematic map has a long history with wide application.The research on thematic mapping has also experienced many stages of development.In the new era,the demand for thematic maps is developing in a personalized and diversified direction while the thematic mapping is also developing in the direction of automation and intelligence.Automated thematic mapping is an important research stage of thematic mapping.At present,the automation of thematic mapping has made great progress in theory,technology and software.Remote sensing technology,GIS technology and computer aided technology are all commonly applied in thematic mapping.All these technologies are realized through common thematic mapping software(GIS and generic mapping software),both of which have advantages.The purpose of this paper is to combine the advantages of these two types of software in thematic mapping,to introduce "the model and model library" into the automated thematic mapping and to study the model-driven automatically thematic mapping method.Based on the previous research on model,model library,automatically thematic mapping and model-driven mechanism,this paper proposes a model-driven automatically thematic mapping method.This method combines the advantages of geographic information analysis software and generic mapping software in thematic mapping,it also takes the mapping process and effect of cartographic software into account.The research content of this paper is divided into four parts:(1)This paper researches the basic structure of the model,the basic principle of the model library,the model combination and the characteristics of the application model based on the model,model library,special application analysis and thematic mapping;Theme-oriented application model library contains the spatial analysis model library,the basic statistical model library,the core algorithm library and theme-oriented application model,and also,this paper studies the storage and management way of theme-oriented application model.(2)The thematic mapping method is studied based on the thematic mapping process of general drawing software;Secondly,this paper researches the driven mechanism of theme-oriented application model based on the basic principle of model driving mechanism.(3)This paper researches the basic content and realization principle of the model-driven automatically thematic mapping method based on the theme-oriented application model library,model-driven mechanism and thematic mapping.(4)According to the model-driven automatically thematic mapping method,using Visual Studio and Qt,combined with ArcGIS Engine secondary development technology,Adobe Illustrator secondary development technology and Adobe Illustrator plug-in technology,the model-driven automatically thematic mapping system is designed and implemented.The system includes a thematic application model processing analysis system and a thematic mapping plug-in in Adobe Illustrator.The thematic application model processing and analysis system is used to implement the calculation of the thematic application model.The thematic mapping plug-in in Adobe Illustrator is used for thematic mapping and publishing.In this paper,two thematic maps are chosen to test the model-driven automatically thematic mapping system as experiments:thematic map of open space comprehensive evaluation and map of ecological security analysis.In this paper,the experimental data of Jilin Province are applied to map the thematic maps in two ways.One is using the model-driven automatically thematic mapping system,while the other is artificial mapping.Through comparative analysis between thematic maps produced by systems and handwork,conclusions are drawed:This method is feasible,to a certain extent,it can improve the cartographic efficiency,reduce the degree of manual participation and mapping threshold,it is conducive to the realization of "batch mapping".
