Design And Implementation Of Statistical Thematic Maps

The development of computer technology and modern mapping theory make the groundwork of statistic thematic mapping, with the people's requirement of statistic thematic mapping is increasing, We design the thematic mapping symbol template and statistic thematic map on base of the new theory and new technology which is our study's stand.First, we introduce the effect of statistic thematic map in GIS, and discuss the people's requirement of statistic thematic mapping and the meaning of research. Then we importantly discuss the method and theory of thematic mapping making, on base of this, we make some new methods of electronic thematic mapping, and basic principle of statistic thematic mapping model designing in MGIS Ⅱ.In this paper, the designing of classification model is introduced in detail, nine expressions are used in the model, we offer the distributing graph of the data to help user make select decision; Furthermore, on the base of our deep studying on the theory and method of statistic thematic mapping, and analyzing on the requirement of the user, the statistic thematic mapping symbol template is enriched and improved, which will accord with the stand of statistic thematic mapping and will be easy to be transplanted. Moreover some functions of editing and modifying the statistic thematic map are provided.Finally, the experiences during the study of this system are introduced and some problems that should be further studied and solved are brought forward.
