Guizhou is one of the districts whose karst physiognomy well developed and concentrative distributed in China.Karst landscape constitute more 73% of Guizhou's total area. This district contains numerous underground caves, which leads to rich resources of cave insects. However, there is the lack of related fundamental taxonomic research and this has become a serious cause for concern and regret in the research and development of caves and their creatures. The cave insect's special forms and physiological traits evolved in special environment make it a choice with top priority in many research fields. Therefore,to understand resources of cave insects in Guizhou and master the taxonomic research on cave insects is regarded as the base and highest priority for ecological research on caves. The research focuses on cave insecta groups in Guizhou province. In order to obtain a better understanding about the rough species of them, the researcher systematically researched on taxology of Guizhou karst cave insect for the first time.By microscope examination of insect specimens, all of which were collected from the province by the lad and the researcher in person, together with data gathering, the current research finished primary morphological taxonomy of over 30 cave insect species and established a part of resource database for Guizhou cave insects. In this experiment, the researcher mainly chose lab collections of insect specimens in School of Karst Science,Guizhou Normal University. The softened specimen was placed in dissecting dish with abdomen upwards. In this way,the abdomen terminal part can be separated and put in 10% Na OH solution. After being boiled in room temperature(which depends on the curing degree of insect specimen)until body tissue dissolved, the selected part would be cleaned with distilled water 2-3 times.Next,it was blotted with blotting paper and put on the hollow-groundslide with glycerinum. The researcher then observed and dissected it with OLYMPUS anatomical lens. The originality and value of this research work lie on the following statement:(1)It researches on taxology of Guizhou karst cave insect for the first time and establishes part of resource database for Guizhou cave insects;(2)It records and describes more than 34 species of cave insects in Guizhou, which belong to 11 families and 22 genuses;(3)It describes all species involved in detail, including their morphological characteristics, data collection, geographical distribution,as well as freehand sketching of their polypide, each side of genitals, the overall colorful diagram and detailed picture for classification feature;(4)It includes a brief description of the establishment and development of each genus.
