Substation location selection is a complex multi objective decision making problems, especially more than 220 kV substation location,is not only related to the complex technical factors.Besides,it also relates to safety, economy, environment and land.Substation locating,is the most important part in city power grid planning,it not only affects the grid structure and reliability of power grid, but also directly related to the economy of the power grid and the quality of power supply. The substation locating grid load and current distribution, current status of power grid, corridor of high voltage power grid distribution, substation site topographic and geological conditions and the overall urban planning and control planning and many other factors involved,Therefore,a substation location selection of the conditions are very ideal is very difficult. So,and determine the site selection should be based on scientific and practical. In this paper,Hierarchy Process AHP,Analytic(analytic hierarchy process)is applied to the decision-making of substation site selection based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis.Research emphasis introduced an international on the latest development of swarm intelligence optimization algorithm, the method development process, main characteristics and the basic process were consolidation analysis, and makes a comparative study with other analysis methods both at home and abroad on the more, further excavation highlights of the analysis method. Finally in 220 kV substation Fengren site selection scheme is taken as an example to do the empirical analysis, and then come to the conclusion of optimal solution.Test results show that the method in this paper are effective and advanced.
