The urban residential area is the main part of the city building group,is the main living space and the activity place of the people,its inner air quality and the pollutant diffusion condition are all closely related to the life of the city resident.The wind environment in urban residential area plays an important role in regulating the thermal environment in residential buildings.Designers need to understand the characteristics of wind field in urban residential areas,make use of the numerical simulation technology of wind environment,and integrate the principles of urban planning to study the wind environment in urban residential areas,addressing outstanding issues in the Human Settlements Environment.Based on N-S equations,RNG K-TURBULENCE model was used to simulate the flow field.Based on a residential area in the east of Handan,a three-dimensional numerical model was established to simulate the wind environment of the residential area by using CFD technology.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)based on the summary of the architectural climatic division and the climatic characteristics of cold regions in China,the climatic and wind environment characteristics of Handan are analyzed emphatically,and the laws of the two wind speed profiles are compared and analyzed,the flow characteristics of the wind field generated by the wind around a bluff body building are analyzed in detail.(2)the three-dimensional numerical model of urban residential area is established,and the techniques of calculating the size of the domain,setting the boundary condition type and dividing the grid type are studied.(3)the change of plot ratio has a significant effect on wind environment of urban residential area.With the increase of the plot ratio of the residential area,the coverage of the wind pressure nephogram in the urban residential area increases gradually,the positive pressure area increases,the negative pressure area decreases,and the vortex intensity in the rear of the building increases gradually.The wind environment of urban residential area can be adjusted effectively by the good layout of residential area,and the shape of residential area determines the layout of buildings,affects the distribution of wind field inside,and has a great influence on the wind environment of urban residential area.(4)wind speed is one of the main factors that affect the wind environment in residential areas.With the increase of inlet wind speed,it is beneficial to the improvement of wind environment and the diffusion of pollutants.
