Endless rolling is a kind of advanced rolling technology applied in the production of steel,which has the advantage of high production efficiency,stable production process,high product quality compared with the traditional rolling process,it is one of the direction of the development of rolling technology.Endless rolling is divided into two types: Continue Casting Direct Rolling and Metal Connection Rolling.Continue Casting Direct Rolling is high cost,and intellectual property rights controlled by others.Welding is now widely used in Metal Connection Rolling,and it has the disadvantage of high energy consumption,low efficiency,difficult to remove weld beading etc.This paper researchs on the intermediate billet fast shear extrusion connection,which has the advantage of sample processes,high connection efficiency and no weld beading etc.Currently,only Japan and South Korea master this technology.Therefore,it is very important to study the key parameters of the metal fast shear extrusion connection through independent research,and it is very important for the promotion of endless rolling technology in the domestic iron and steel industry.In this paper,combined with experimental analysis,the key parameters of the metal fast shear extrusion connection were studied based on plastic forming theory and finite element method,the connection deformation process of the fast shear compression was studied by Deform-3D,the connection deformation process was divided into two stages: plastic deformation and shear connection by stress and strain analysis,parameters were divided into two categories: process parameters and mold parameters,the key parameters of the connection: lapping(B),rolling reduction(L),the width of the blade(A)and temperature(T)were analyzed and got based on optimal shape and connection strength,the influence law of main parameters on deformation pattern was analyzed,the optimal parameters combination were found by orthogonal experimental method,the mathematical model between the key parameters and connection index was found by the method of multiple linear regression,the simulation results was verified by the experimental results.The influence law of different parameters on the connection strength was got by the experiments,the microstructure under different parameters was analyzed.The results show that the simulation results are in agreement with the experimental results,the maximum relative error is less than 10%.
