China is a big producer of turpentine.The main component of turpentine is pinene.Pinane,produced with catalytic hydrogenation of pinene,is the raw material to synthesize a series of fine chemical products.Forest chemical factories offer varied quality of products since there is no unified national or industrial standard.In order to further improve the quality of forest products,perfect the existing standard system and make the quality inspection well-grounded,it is necessary to establish the pinane product standard and provide scientific basis for the quality control and detection of pinane products.This paper studies the standard establishment of pinane products,and the process,content and results,to be specific,are as described below:1.Field investigation was conducted in major domestic pinane production enterprises in Hunan,Zhejiang,Guangxi,Guangdong and Fujian in order to establish the industrial standard of pinane.An exposure draft was developed based on the sampling,testing,statistic analysis and verification detection in the early stage.Then the draft was amended in accordance with the suggestions widely solicited from relevant experts and producers to form a submission draft.After being reviewed by industrial experts and the standard examination panel,the draft was modified and was ready for approval.2.The research defines the technical requirements on the appearance,color and moisture of pinane.Technically,in appearance,pinane must be transparent and without impurities,suspended solids or visible moistures;color<30 platinum-cobalt;moisture?0.50%3.The research rules that the relative density of pinane is 0.860-0.870 and the refractive index is 1.4600-1.4700.The density of different patches of pinane was tested at varied temperaturesin accordance with the experimental method specified in GB/T4472-2011,and it was found that the temperature correction factor of pinane'sdensity is 0.00071 at every 1? of temperature difference.The refractive indexof different patches of pinane was tested at varied temperaturesin accordance with the experimental method specified inGB-T 6488-2008,and it was found that the temperature correction factor of pinane's refractive indexis 0.00043at every 1 ? of temperature difference.4.The research specifies the technical requirements on the content of pinane:in superior pinane products?97%;in first-grade products?95%;in second-grade products?93%.It was also confirmed that the pinane content test method and analytical method has good stability and repeatability.
