In this paper,modified polyethylene terephthalate(MPET)/polypropylene(PP)core-sheath bicomponent anti-mosquito fiber was prepared with MPET containing inorganic pore-forming powder as the sheath and PP containing a certain amount of mosquito repellent as the core by composite spinning process.The alkali treatment of fiber was conducted using sodium hydroxide solution to form pore in the sheath.The effect of alkali treatment conditions on the weight loss of was discussed by orthogonal experiment.The surface morphology and mechanical properties of MPET/PP core-sheath bicomponent anti-mosquito fibers were characterized at different weight loss.Study the influence of the processing means and environment factors on the content change of mosquito repellent in the fiber by extracting and detecting content of mosquito repellent in anti-mosquito fiber.And the repellent effect of anti-mosquito fiber knitted fabric was detected.The results show that the selected materials of skin-core bicomponent anti-mosquito fiber have good spinning property;alkali solution concentration was the mest important factor bearing upon on weight loss of core-sheath bicomponent fiber and effect of pore-forming of MPET cortex;the mechanical properties and mosquito repellent content of anti-mosquito fiber were significantly declined with too much weight loss.The mosquito repellent content of anti-mosquito fiber was also decreased after washing-drying.The mosquito repellent content was 35%and 68%respectively,after the fiber standing for 5weeks at the room temperature or 40?.The factor of core-sheath ratio,weight loss,mosquito repellent content in core and mosquito repellent total content in unit area must be considered,in order to improve the repellent effect.The anti-mosquito fiber knitted fabric of thinner cortex has strong anti-mosquito effect that the weight loss was 18%,the repellent rate of the fabric versus aedes albopictus are 95.92%...
