Mosquitoes can not only disturb people’s rest, but also spread diseases.Anti-mosquito textiles in the field of survival, military training, outdoor sports and other fields have a certain demand. At present, mosquito repellent is mainly used to finish the mosquito repellent textiles, but the washable property is poor. The melt spinning method was used to prepare mosquito repellent fibers. The volatile properties of mosquito repellent at high temperature made continuous spinning difficult.Mosquito repellent microencapsulation can significantly reduce volatilization and prolong release time, which is an effective method to prepare long-lasting mosquito repellent fibers. In this paper, using permethrin as core material, dense amine resin as wall material and polystyrene maleic anhydride copolymer as emulsifier, small diameter anti-mosquito microcapsules were prepared by in-situ polymerization. The structure and properties of the microcapsules were characterized by SEM,TG,FT-IR,UV and nano-size analyzer. The effects of emulsifier concentration and the ratio of skin to core on microcapsule size, morphology, chloropylate loading rate and encapsulation rate were investigated. The results showed that the optimum preparation conditions were as follows:the concentration of emulsifier was 3%,the ratio of skin to core was1:1,and the emulsification rate was 12000 rpm.The prepared microcapsules had small particle size(d50was 1.1μm),uniform particle size distribution and high load rate(44.5%).The encapsulation of microcapsules improved the thermal stability of permethrin and prolonged its release time. The isothermal release kinetics experiments showed that the release time of microencapsulated chloropylate was 3.3years at 25℃and 1.5 years at 35℃.Then,the mosquito repellent microcapsules were mixed with low melting point polyester(LMPET)to prepare mosquito repellent slices.Anti-mosquito slices was prepared by direct blending melt spinning and composite spinning using PP as core layer, and the anti-mosquito fibers were woven into plain fabric. The structure and properties of the fibers were characterized by SEM,OM,TG,UV and mosquito repellent. The effect of microcapsule content on fiber properties was studied. The results showed that with the increase of microcapsule content, the spinnability and mechanical properties of the fiber became worse, but the breaking strength of the composite anti-mosquito fiber was significantly increased compared with the single component anti-mosquito fiber. In addition, the release rate of the two anti-mosquito fibers increased with the increase of microcapsule content, and both had good washing resistance. The preliminary test of the anti-mosquito knitted fabric showed that the anti-mosquito fabric had certain anti-mosquito function, and the repellent rate was 51.7%.
