With the rapid development of automobile industry in recent years,there is a great demand for non-circular lathe with high accuracy and reliability in China.At present,most of the non-circular lathe CNC systems at home and abroad have adopted a PC solution based on motion control card.It is necessary to use this scheme to build a system with high processing efficiency and high stability.It needs a long development cycle and the system is difficult to realize the later expansion.With the development of open CNC system technology,the pure software solution based on PC shows obvious superiority relative to the traditional control technology scheme and the PC solution based on the motion control card.Based on PC and the open architecture and real time kernel of TwinCAT CNC,this paper constructs an open CNC system for non circular turning of piston,and successfully carried out the experiment of the piston round machining.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First,on the basis of the analysis of the TwinCAT CNC solution,the main process of building a piston shaped outer circle CNC system based on TwinCAT CNC is introduced.Secondly,in order to improve the dynamic response ability of the linear servo tool holder,the quality of the motion part of the tool holder is improved,and the speed compensation link based on the load observation is designed for the load disturbance during the cutting process.Then,in order to overcome the problem that the off-line phase regulator can not take into account the influence of the complicated working conditions such as cutting force in the process of machining and the error of the identification model,to solve the problem of the precision decline of the machine tool when the spindle speed is above 1500r/min,an adaptive amplitude phase compensator is designed.Finally,after the precision measurement and parameter setting,the machining ability of the machine tool in the spindle speed 2000r/min is verified through the actual cutting experiments of the convex and variable elliptical piston in the different surface.The experiment shows that when machining standard elliptical piston under 2000r/min condition,the machining error is within the range of 2?m,meeting the technological requirements.
