Schiff base mainly refers to a class of organic compounds containing a carbon-nitrogen double bond?-RC=N-?group.Schiff base compounds have biological activities of antibacterial,bactericidal,antitumor and antiviral activities.Their synthesis research has been one of the research hotspots in the field of chemical industry and drug synthesis,among which the p-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivative Schiff base ligands Anti-depressant biological activity has been favored by people.In recent years,p-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivate Schiff base ligands containing flexible chains have received extensive attention from researchers not onlybecause of their novel structure but also potential applications in biological activity,molecular recognition,catalysis,and photoelectric materials value.The flexible chain complexes obtained when this type of Schiff base ligand is coordinated with the metal may have the advantage of being"soft and rigid."In view of the biological activity of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivatised Schiff base ligands and complexes.We first synthesized a series of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde Schiff base ligands and their Pd metal complexes.Reaction of p-hydroxy benzaldehyde with 2,6-dimethylaniline,2,6-diethylaniline and 2,6-diisopropylaniline to give ligand[?4-OH?C6H4CH=NC6H3-2,6-Me2]?L1?,[?4-OH?C6H4CH=NC6H3-2,6-Et2]?L2?,[?4-OH?C6H4CH=NC6H3-2,6-i-Pr2]?L3?.Then,the p-hydroxybenzaldehyde Schiff-base Pd complexes[Pd?C,N-?2-?4-OH?C6H3CH=NC6H3–2,6-Me2???-Cl?]2?1?,[Pd?C,N-?2-?4-OH?C6H3CH=NC6H3–2,6-Et2??-Cl)]2?2?,[Pd?C,N-?2-?4-OH?C6H3CH=NC6H3–2,6-i-Pr2???-Cl?]2?3?were sy nthesized by reacting Na2PdCl4 with ligands L1,L2 and L3 respectively,and th e synthesized mats were prepared by IR,1H NMR and X-ray diffraction.The basic Pd complex structure was characterized.Through research,we have a bet ter understanding of the coordination of the central metal atom Pd and the Sc hiff base ligand.In the later work,the p-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivative Schiff base ligand containing complex chains and their Pd complexes were synthesized.We first synthesized the ligand L4[(4-OC6H12Br)C6H4CH=NC6H3-2,6-i-Pr2]using the ligand L3[?4-OH?C6H4CH=NC6H3-2,6-i-Pr2]and 1,6-dibromohexane.Then,1,4-bis?4-for mylphenoxy?butane and 1,6-bis?4-formylphenoxy?hexane were synthesized by reacting p-hydroxybenzaldehyde with 1,4-dibromobutane and 1,6-dibromohexane in different ratios.Finally,using 2,6-diisopropylaniline to react with 1,4-bis?4-formylph enoxy?butane and 1,6-bis?4-formylphenoxy?hexane to synthesize ligands L5 and L6and characterized by IR,1H NMR and other analytical methods.Finally,ligands L5 and L6 were reacted with Na2PdCl4 respectively to synthesize the bis-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivative Schiff base ring Pd complexes 4 and 5containing flexible chains,and they were subjected to IR,1HNMR,X-ray diffraction and other methods.This analysis has laid a foundation for the better study of the flexible chain bis-hydroxybenzaldehyde Schiff-base Pd complexes.
