In this thesis, twelve new flexible long-chain Schiff-base ligands have been prepared from the reactions of three aldehydes(3-Methoxy salicylaldehyde,Salicylaldehyde,5-bromo-2-hydroxy-3-methoxy and 3,5-dichlorosalicylaldehyde)and five amines(1,4-bis(aminomethyl)benzene,1,4-Bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazine,Tris(2-aminoethyl)amine,2,2?-thiobis-ethanamin and ethylene glycol bis(3-aminopropyl)ether).AlltheseSchiff-baseligandswere characterized by ~1H NMR.Twelve polynuclear complexes were synthesized from reactions of these ligands and different metal salts, including four binuclear Zn(?)complexes, three trinuclear Cd-Ln complexes, two 6-nuclear Ni-Ln complexes, one 8-nuclear Zn-Eu complex and two 12-nuclear Zn-Ln complexes. The crystal structures of these polynuclear complexes have been determined.Meanwhile, they have been characterized by IR,UV,TG analyses. The study of luminescence properties shows that these complexes exhibit typical lanthanide emissions in the visible and near infrared region. |
