Research On The Scale And Influence Factors Of Hubei Logistics Industry’s Carbon Emissions

Nowadays,human society is facing severe challenges of energy shortage,serious environmental pollution,and global warming,the development of a low-carbon economy has become the consensus of all countries.Since Chinese economic Reform and Opening,China’s economy has experienced rapid development for nearly 40 years.While as the same time,it has also consumed a lot of energy and environmental pollution.Since 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,ecological and environmental protection has been placed in a more important position,promoting industrial restructuring,adjusting economic development methods,and achieving friendly and coordinated development between economic and environmental have become the new normal advocated by the local government in each place.As the national low-carbon pilot province,Hubei Province has clearly stated that,the CO2 emissions per unit area of GDP will fall by 19.5%compared with 2015 till 2020.As the basic economic industry of Hubei,the logistics industry has always been one of the major industries for energy consumption and carbon emissions.The problem how to reduce the carbon emissions of the logistics industry while maintaining the high-speed development of the logistics industry and realize its low-carbon development is a realistic issue that must be faced by Hubei Province.This paper thoroughly studies the issue of carbon emissions from the logistics industry in Hubei Province.First,it analyzes the current status of carbon emissions from the logistics industry in Hubei,including the calculation of carbon emissions from the logistics industry and the analysis of the carbon emission intensity of the logistics industry.It also discusses the relationship between carbon emissions from the logistics industry and the provincial its production value in Hubei Province,based on the environmental Kuznets curve the stage of carbon emissions in the logistics industry in Hubei Province can be determined,which is judged from the macro level;then,starting from a single economic sector,using the LMDI factor decomposition method to analyze the impact of factors such as energy intensity,energy structure,energy efficiency,logistics development,and economic development,on the changes in the carbon emissions of the logistics industry in Hubei Province;again,combine the results of the above factors on the carbon emissions from the logistics industry,and emissions make a reasonable forecast;Finally,on the basis of the foregoing analysis,suggestions are made for the development of low-carbonization in the logistics industry in Hubei,and the deficiencies of this study are pointed out.The conclusion of this study shows that the carbon emissions from logistics industry in Hubei province have an"N" relationship with the output value of logistics in Hubei.Currently,the carbon emissions from Hubei logistics industry are still in a rising stage;the changes in energy structure have no significant effect on carbon emissions.At present,the energy structure of the logistics industry in Hubei Province is not at the optimal stage;energy efficiency factors can effectively restrain the increase in carbon emissions,and the increase in energy efficiency in recent years has gradually increased the inhibitory effect on the carbon emissions of Hubei’s logistics industry.Further increase the investment in technology research and development to improve the efficiency of energy use;the reduction in the output value of the logistics industry in Hubei Province as a share of the output value of the tertiary industry will inhibit the growth of carbon emissions in the logistics industry in Hubei.The logistics industry is the energy consumption in the tertiary industry.The industry with the highest proportion of carbon emissions,while maintaining the rapid development of the logistics industry,should also make the proportion of the logistics industry in the tertiary industry more reasonable;the economic development factor is the main power of driving force for the growth of carbon emissions in the logistics industry in Hubei Province;Combining the results of the previous factor decomposition,it is predicted that in 2020,the carbon emissions from the logistics industry in Hubei will be 0.819 million tons,higher than 2015.In the future,the logistics industry in Hubei Province still needs to further increase the R&D of energy technologies,optimize the structure of logistics transportation,and improve the efficiency of logistics transportation.At the same time,it is necessary to improve the supervision,reward and punishment system for logistics companies in order to limit the carbon The excessive growth of emissions will further promote the smooth realization of the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 2020 from 19.5%in 2015.
