Global climate change had been one of the most serious environmental problems in the world,chiefly generated by overmuch emissions of greenhouse gas,mainly carbon dioxide.Man-made emissions of carbon dioxide were mostly from the industry.Since the Industrial Revolution,most countries around the world had entered the stage of industrialized development.The increasing demand of all kinds of energy resources which derived from industrial production and activities produced large amounts of greenhouse gas,and ultimately had a negative impact on the ecological environment.In order to control and reduce the emissions of greenhouse gas and alleviate the pressure of the ecological environment,countries around the world had begun to reduce carbon emissions and the impact on the human environment through a variety of means.China was the largest developing country,as for carbon emissions China was a major country in the world.Serious environmental problems were behind the rapid economic growth and significant increase in overall national strength.In 2009,the Chinese government formally proposed the target that they will reduce greenhouse gas emissions in 2020,then they had repeatedly put forward the task to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40%to 50%until 2050.China had broad area,each region had big differences in resource endowment,industrial structure,technical level,economic development level and so on.Therefore,facing the huge pressure to reduce carbon emissions,it had important practical significance to research carbon emissions and influence factors of a specific area or industry.The ultimate goal was to propose some countermeasures and effectively control carbon emissions.This paper selected the Gansu province as the research object,then estimated the industrial carbon emissions and carbon intensity of Gansu from 1994 to 2014 and analyzed the energy structure,energy intensity,industrial structure,industrial development and other main influencing factors by using the LMDI decomposition method.The conclusions indicated as follows:(1)The industrial carbon emissions showed a fluctuant increasing trend from 1994 to 2014.Generally,they increased from 1899.31 ten thousand tons in 1994 to 6515.19 ten thousand tons in 2014.The increasing consumption of coal,coke,oil and other energy led to a lot of carbon emissions.(2)Industrial carbon emission intensity showed a trend of fluctuant decline,it decreased from 10.89t/ten thousand Yuan in 1994 to 2.88t/ten thousand Yuan in 2014.As for industrial carbon emission elasticity coefficient,the numbers of many years were less than 1.Industrial carbon intensity and industrial carbon emission elasticity coefficient showed good trends.(3)Manufacturing and production and supply of electricity,gas and water had a greater impact on the growth of industrial carbon emissions.From the point of industrial sectors,carbon emissions of coal,petroleum,electric power,metallurgy,chemical and other departments were larger.The carbon emissions of non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry,oil processing and coking and nuclear fuel processing industry,ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry,electric power,heat production and supply industry,oil and gas industry,nonmetal mineral products and chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing accounted for the overall carbon emissions of 38 industrial sectors by 95.73%.(4)In the analysis of influencing factors,the effect value of different industrial sectors had big difference.Totally,industrial development and energy structure were driving factors for carbon emissions,they respectively increased 10108.21 ten thousand tons and 107.39 ten thousand tons of carbon emissions in total.While energy intensity and industrial structure restrained carbon emissions,which cut 5102.53 ten thousand tons and 776.65 ten thousand tons of carbon emissions respectively.Finally,on the basis of above analysis,this paper put forward the effective suggestions on carbon reduction from the industrial structure,energy consumption structure,technical level,the emission reduction policy and regional cooperation.At the same time,it put forward some related issues which were not involved in the article.It could provide the theoretical basis for the comprehensive analysis of carbon emissions and carbon reduction.
