The wetland organisms is considered to be a non-negligible environmental resource because of its rich variety. However, the disturbance of human activities and the deterioration of the quality of the natural environment have caused the area of natural wetlands to shrinks and the number and type of birds to decline year by year, and the contradiction between development of human and survival of bird has become increasingly prominent. This article takes Keluke-Tuosu Lake in Qinghai as the research object.Based on the several investigations of project site,it clearly defines the protection of birds as the prerequisite for planning and designing, and seeks the balance among birds protection, landscape construction and popular science education in the habitat.Summarizing the concept, types and characteristics of wetlands park,as well as the methods and roles for the creation of birds habitats by reviewing relevant literature.Establishing a global understanding of the existing design tactics. The related design strategies are mainly carried out in the following three aspects:the establishment of bird habitats, the division of functional area in habitats,bird-watching experience activities, aiming to provide habitats and nesting conditions for birds. This paper summarizes the overall layout of the project plan, and based on the division of regional functions, defines conservation zones strictly, establishes bird habitat based on the distribution of birds on the site.Vertical design, revetment plans and facility plans class landscape construction is in place.Integrating theory with practice, conducting investigations in project site on a number of occasions, conducting comprehensive assessment of tourism resources around the project, and tapping the potential cultural connotations. It is hoped that this study can provide a reference for the construction of bird habitats and apply the research results to related planning and design.
