With the development of economy and society, human activities all over every corner of the world, because of human social activities on the ecological environment, tend to produce a series of ecological problems, some relatively special ecological environment regional problem has been widespread concern in the community. In all human activities, mineral resources exploitation is very intense on the earth's surface. The research of mining area's ecological environment has become a hot topic in academic circles.Selecting typical mineral resources development area to study the change of ecological environment can provide data support for mineral resources development area, and provide decision-making support for resource management and ecological environment protection in mineral resources development area.Jinchang has spanned two geological structural units. In the long geological structure history,it has undergone complex geological evolution, resulting in superior metallogenic conditions and abundant mineral resources. This paper selects the typical Jinchang mine development area as the research object, through data collection, field research, literature review, geometric correction of remote sensing images and visual interpretation, model construction, historical data analysis techniques, the study of typical mining area in Gansu province 2000-2015 Jinchang nickel mine area ecological environment changes, the main conclusions are as follows:1)To obtain data collection and questionnaire were obtained during 2000-2015 in Jinchang nickel mine area in opencast mines,a mining area, two mining area, three mining, mining area, digging area, tailing area, ground subsidence area, occupied area and regional governance has recovered population.2)2000-2015 features typical nickel ore district in Gansu province two categories were mineral vegetation types, which accounted for 85.84% and 85.25% of the area of typical region,85.21%,followed by mineral mineral mineral, facilities, disaster sensitive feature, the total accounted for less than 15% of the area of typical area.3)features typical nickel ore district in Gansu province 2000-2015 years three classes were grassland(including grassland, bare rock, bare soil etc.),accounting for 76.49 to 77.07% of the area of typical area;the rest of cultivated land, mineral tailings dumps, residential dump, mining roads, reservoirs, woodland etc.in total, accounting for less than 15% of the area of typical area.4)In 2000-2015,the woodland area in Jinchang typical nickel mining area did not change. The grassland area increased by 0.23km2 in 2000-2005.The area of the typical nickel deposits in Jinchang increased by 0.33 km2 and the mine road increased by 0.45 km2.In 2005-2010,the area of the tailings and dumping ground remained constant, and the area of the reservoir, the mine road and the mineral stacking field remained the same.In 2010-2015,the area of residential area increased by 0.18 km2,with an average annual increase of 0.036 km2,with an increase of 3.9%.5)2000-2005 features of typical Jinchang nickel ore types in the region, the evaluation data are normalized, after a comprehensive assessment and grading, calculated from 2000,2005,2010,2015 in Jinchang nickel mine area ecological environment comprehensive evaluation results are as follows: 0.401(medium),0.404(medium),0.397(good)0.389,(good).
