Study On The Female Jacket In The Mid And Late Ming Dynasty

In the middle and late Ming Dynasty,due to the increasingly loose control of the local government by the centralized government and the active state of the commodity economy,the social concept have changed.The simple and honest social outlook of the early Ming Dynasty was powerful at this time,drawing a splendid life scene.In the aspect of clothing,it broke through the ritual dress system in the early Ming Dynasty,and formed a clothing trend that surpasses the ceremony and system,pursues luxury,pursues new things,and strives to be beautiful.Moreover,the dress changing cycle was short,and changing with each passing day.It has become one of the most colorful development periods in ancient Chinese clothing history.Under the influence of this style of clothing,as one of the traditional costumes of China,the female jacket has also become more colorful.It is highly distinctive in terms of structure,pattern,color,and material,and full of profound cultural connotations and strong aesthetic characteristics of art.The jacket also reflect the political,economic,cultural,diplomatic and other characteristics of the times in the mid and late Ming Dynasty,and become one of the most representative clothing style at that time.From the perspective of costume culture,this article is based on the theme of female jacket in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,combined with historical materials such as literature and portraits,as well as unearthed and handed down cultural objects,to study the origin and types,shape and structure,artistic characteristics and influencing factors of the jacket in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.Firstly,by combining the knowledge of history,folklore,arts,and other related disciplines,the source and evolution of the jacket in the middle and late Ming Dynasty were analyzed to complete the basic research of the topic.Then,based on the historical materials of costume in Ming dynasty,this paper summarizes the popularization and classification of female jacket in the middle and late Ming dynasty.Secondly,on the basis of literature historical data and unearthed objects,this paper analyzes the shape and structure of the female jacket in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,focuses on the characteristics of the collars,sleeves,and body,and summarizes the characteristics of the jacket in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.And then,explore the artistic features of its patterns,colors,and materials,etc.Finally,summarizes the analysis of the structure and artistic characteristics of the jacket,and combines the historical materials,historical novels,political,economic,cultural,diplomatic and other aspects of the Ming Dynasty,to analyze its influencing factors from all aspects.This thesis aim to provide some theoretical basis for the in-depth study of the Ming Dynasty costume culture.
