The synthetic materials of traditional Super Absorbent Resins(SAPs)are mainly from non-renewable energy such as petroleum. With the growth of social economy and population, the production of SAP is increasing year by year, and the excessive exploitation of oil resources can result in energy shortage and environmental pollution. Therefore,in order to reduce pressure on energy and the environment,it is of great value to find recyclable materials to prepare green SAPs.The natural polysaccharide a-cellulose and sodium alginate(SA)were used as the polymer skeleton respectively, diatomaceous earth(MDE)and zeolite(MZE)as inorganic compounds, acrylic acid(AA)and acrylamide(AM)as monomers,N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as crosslinking agent, potassium persulfate(KPS)as initiator, preparing a series of composite SAPs by aqueous solution polymerization.Firstly, the optimal preparation condition of a-cellulose-g-P(AA-co-AM)/MDE was determined by orthogonal design method and single factor experiment, and the effects of reaction factors on the absorbability of samples were also discussed.Secondly, the ?-cellulose-g-P(AA-co-AM)/MZE?SA-g-P(AA-co-AM)/MDE and SA-g-P(AA-co-AM)/MZE samples were synthesized. Finally, the structure and morphology of samples were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR),Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).The thermal stability of samples were tested by thermogravimetric analyzer(TG).The swelling rate of the samples were investigated by using the dynamic model of swelling. And the water retention performance of the samples were studied by automatic on-line weighing device. The above results show that the optimum reaction condition of a-cellulose-g-P(AA-co-AM)/MDE sample was achieved at 30wt%AM,0.05wt%MBA,0.4wt%KPS,80%neutralization degree,7wt%a-cellulose,4wt%MDE of AA.When SA and MZE were used as sample complexes, the optimal reaction quantities of SA and MZE are 5wt%and 6wt%of AA respectively.According to the results of absorbability,TG,swelling kinetics and on-line automatic weighing device, the salt resistance, thermal stability, swelling rate and water retention ability of the samples that added polysaccharide and inorganic mineral are improved. In addition, comparing the comprehensive performances of different samples, when a-cellulose as the polymer skeleton and MZE as inorganic compounds, the sample has better comprehensive performance. Therefore, the using of natural raw materials for preparing SAPs,it not only plays an important role in alleviating energy shortage and environmental pollution, but also improves the salt resistance, thermal stability and water retention performance of SAPs,and expanding the application range of the samples, especially in the areas of agroforestry.
