The thesis takes "SGJT 2230 mm Pickling Line tandem Cold Rolling Mill" as the research background,based on the new power electronic devices and high speed data transmission.The main purpose of the research work is to find a simple optimal automatic tension gauge control model,and application in actual production.The theory foundation of the research contains two aspects.The first is Automatic Gauge Control.The second is Automatic Tension Control.In the Five Tandem Mill system,two aspects are inseparable.Drawn lessons from the research results of GE and TMEIC company,the theoretical basis of automatic gauge control consists of three parts: Monitor Automatic Gauge Control(MN-AGC),Mass flow Automatic Gauge Control(MF-AGC),Feed forward Automatic Gauge Control(FF-AGC).The theoretical basis of automatic tension control,through the calculation of Tension Limit Control(TLC),the first part is assigned to the Hydraulic Gap Control system,and this part is accumulated with the Automatic Gauge Control of the roll gap adjustment output section.The second part is allocated to the automatic speed regulator of the main motor,and this part is accumulated with the Automatic Gauge Control of speed adjustment output section.Basic theory research of automatic tension thickness control has matured,and the detection elements used in the control model includes: pressure sensor of main hydraulic cylinder hydraulic system,magnetic scale of main hydraulic cylinder stroke position detection,strip tension meter,strip speed measuring instrument,and the strip thickness gauge detector.The detection values of these detection elements are used as feedback data of the control model,perform automatic calculations in the control model together with the theoretical given values,the operation results are used as output analog to control two actuators.The first is the servo valve that controls the pressure and position of the main cylinder,the second is the inverter speed control of the main motor.This control model is applied in actual production,the precise control of the finished strip thickness is realized and the practical value of this control model is confirmed.
