Sabia belongs to the family Sabiaceae, which can be used for anti-inflammatory,treatment of viral hepatitis A and B.While, there is a risk of lowering the number of white blood cells.Edible and medicinal fungi have a very wide range of pharmacological activity, which are as food, tonic and medicine, and some can increase white blood cells. In this study, edible and medicinal fungi such as Ganoderma lucidum were used to ferment Sabia parviflora under solid-state cultivation, which is a method of traditional Chinese medicine processing,to produe Chinese medicine fermentation compound. In order to explore the feasibility of synergism and reducing the toxicity, influence of edible and medicinal fungi on extractive component, antioxidant, proliferation of HepG2 cells, protection of liver cell damage and hepatitis C virus RNA expression were analysis. These results will provide theoretical support for the biological processing of traditional Chinese medicine.Simultaneous distillation extraction,solid-phase microextraction and GC-MS analysis were used to determine volatile components of Sabia parviflora,Sabia schumanniana and Sabia sp.65,38 and 26 compounds were identified from S.parviflora,S.schumanniana and Sabia sp.by simultaneous distillation extraction and GC-MS analysis, with highest content of palmitic acid.Only 20,13 and 10 compounds were identified from S.parviflora,S.schumanniana and Sabia sp.by solid-phase microextraction and GC-MS analysis. After fermentation of S.parviflora by 7 edible and medicinal fungi,2,2'-methylenebis[6-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-methyl-phenol,as a main phenol in volatile components decreased and converted to low toxic or non toxic compounds, which reduces the toxicity of S.parviflora.7 edible and medicinal fungi could increased the content of alkaloids and triterpenoid.G.lucidum FZ fermentation had the highest content of alkaloids, and G.lucidum EN2 fermentation had the highest content of triterpenoid, mainly oleanolic acid.7 edible and medicinal fungi decreased flavonoids content, while G.lucidum FZ and Schizophyllum commune DS1 could significantly improve the content of quercetin which is one of flavonoids.Influences of water extract of S.parviflora fermented by 7 edible and medicinal fungi on proliferation of HepG2 cell and human L02 hepatocytes were investigated.Fermented extracts of 4 G.lucidum could inhibit proliferation of HepG2 cell, and showed strain difference.S.parviflora could promote proliferation of human L02 hepatocytes, and the stimulating effect was enhanced after fermented by G.lucidum EN2.Fermented extracts of 4 G.lucidum species could improve the protection of hydrogen peroxide-induced liver cell.S.parviflora itself had a certain inhibitory effect on hepatitis C virus, however there was no significant effect after fermented by edible and medicinal fungi.
