The Culture Inheritance And Innovation Design Exploration Of "Chinese Hood"

With the progress of human civilization,the mutually integrated reference between political economy and culture of each nation makes cultural elements with Chinese characteristics receive concern in the world clothing design field.To revitalize the traditional fashion culture becomes the social consensus.As a part in traditional Chinese culture,Chinese hood has the extremely high inheritance value in material characters and spiritual culture.With the abundant and colorful modeling,decoration and technological design elements not only focus on expressing spiritual cultural connotations of each nation in China and displaying extraordinary style of traditional culture,but also provide inexhaustible design resources in China or even the whole world.It is a pity that modern headwear is seldom designed based on Chinese hood.Actually,Chinese modern headwear design has a shortcoming in inheritance method between classic and modern,as well as tradition and fashion.In this paper,based on the theoretical studies on historical veins and classification evolution of Chinese hood,the author discussed an extractive method of material and spiritual cultural elements for traditional Chinese hood,discussed the design expression method of culture inheritance from design philosophy,combination,fashion tendency,aesthetic expression and functional reconstruction,and expanded the continuous development study of Chinese hood's material and spiritual culture in modern hood design.In the end,the author verified and summarized research achievements through individual design practice and prospected the future market development.With the subjects of four parts in this paper,the author discussed the culture inheritance value of Chinese hood and provided design method guide with innovative significance.In historical development,the author introduced external factors,including influences of nature and society on evolution of Chinese hood and provided foundation and direction for Chinese and western culture integration for Chinese hood by comparing with the similarity and dissimilarity between Chinese and western hoods.In chapter 3,the author analyzed the status of cultural separation for Chinese hood,elaborated possibility of renascent tendency and market demands,explored cultural connotations,style modeling and decorative technology-spirit and materials,and summarized design elements.Based on the current cases,inheritance design methods and development mode were analyzed to inject time spirit for the inherent hood culture.The ultimate purpose is to continuously develop culture and broaden our mind for inheritance design practice.
