The Culture Inheritance And Innovation Of Chinese Modern Furniture Design

This paper, based on the inheritance of the Chinese furniture system and the innovation question, launches the elaboration. The Chinese furniture development history is glorious, once created the magnificent achievements which the world focused attention on. But in the course of the modern furniture development, Chinese furniture by far falls behind the West. Especially at the moment of Chinese modern furniture facing the globalization challenge, we should reconsider profoundly, summarize the experiences, explore the new road. The paper attempts to look for traditional culture essence under the magnificent achievement of ancient Chinese furniture and the history of foreign culture absorption; and under the broad global vision, the paper analyzes those success experiences of modern furniture development in developed areas.
