Rigid polyurethane foam with excellent mechanical properties, light weight, resistance to chemical corrosion and other advantages, has a wide range of applications. However, ordinary rigid polyurethane foams have poor compressive properties and can not meet the requirements of sandwich composite materials for submarine rudder core materials. In order to improve the compression performance of rigid polyurethane foam, the synergistic reinforcement was used to enhance the compressibility of the rigid polyurethane foam, and the research on the preparation and compression of the foam were carried out.A foam mold for polyurethane foam was designed. The mold adopts movable cross-hole lid, which can make the foam effectively fill the whole foam cavity, and the products are uniform in shape and stable in shape.A rigid polyurethane foam formulation with petroleum ether as blowing agent was explored, the rigid polyurethane foams prepared by this method have uniform internal cells, which solves the problem of foam center cracking in the early recipe. The hollow glass microspheres, oxidized graphene and the synergistic reinforcement prepared by the two reinforcements were used to enhance the compressive properties of the rigid polyurethane foam. The enhancement effect of the synergistic reinforcement on the compressibility of the foam was also studied emphatically.Experiments show that the proper amount of synergistic reinforcement can effectively enhance the foam compression performance, the efficiency is better than single enhanced foam. The compressive strength of the reinforced foam exceeds 10 MPa.The microstructure of the interface between the reinforcement and the foam was studied by scanning electron microscopy. The effect of different reinforcement on the compressive properties of foam was discussed.
