The theoretical formula of emulsion explosives is designed based on the principle of maximum explosion heat.The effects of aqueous phase,oil phase,emulsifiers,and sensitizers on the detonation performance and storage stability of emulsion explosives were explored.The cause of the winter misfire of the emulsion explosives produced by a low temperature sensitized production line and the sensitization aftereffect of the explosives produced by a new high temperature sensitized production line is analyzed and confirmed by experiments.Finally,the solution is put forward.The main research results are as follows:(1)In the range of 8%to 16%,the detonation velocity increases,then decreases with water content,the maximum velocity at 12%.The emulsion explosive stability increases with water content.The proper pH value can improve emulsion explosive stability.(2)Among the paraffin wax,modified microcrystalline wax and composite oil phase,the detonation velocity of the emulsion explosives prepared by composite oil phase is the highest.The suitable composite oil phase content can increase the detonation velocity and storage stability of the emulsion explosive,but decrease deuteration distance.(3)The emulsion explosive prepared by Arlacel C emulsifier has the highest detonation velocity and good storage stability compared with Span-80 and T152,but has not significant effect on detonator sensitivity.The emulsification performance is stable when emulsifier content reaches certain content.(4)The emulsion explosives sensitized by hollow glass microspheres have a high density,detonation performance,and storage stability compared to sodium nitrate.The density and the decrepitation distance of the emulsion explosive gradually decrease,but storage stability is basically the same as the hollow glass microspheres increasing when the content is 3%to 5%.(5)It is determined the reason of winter misfiring of emulsion explosives produced by a trial low temperature sensitized production line is lower water content,emulsifying properties of the emulsifier and sensitizing effect of the chemical sensitizer is poor at low temperature.The corresponding treatment measures are as follows:1)The modified formula of emulsified matrix:ammonium nitrate:72%,sodium nitrate:9%,compound emulsifier:3%(Span-80:1.2%and Arlacel C:1.8%),compound wax:3.5%,oil:0.5%,water:12%;2)Use 0.25%sodium nitrite solution and 0.12%phosphoric acid solution to chemical sensitization,and add 2%hollow glass microspheres for physical sensitization.(6)It is determined the reason of sensitization aftereffec of emulsion explosives produced by a trial high temperature sensitized production line is excessive sensitizer,insensitive temperature and insufficient sensitization time.The corresponding treatment measures are as follows:1)The modified formula of emulsified matrix:ammonium nitrate:72%,sodium nitrate:9%,emulsifier:3%,compound wax:3.5%,oil:0.5%,water:12%,sodium nitrite:0.21%,accelerator:0.13%;2)Adjust the sensitization temperature to 85℃;3)The sensitization time is extended to 1.5min.
