As an important general synthetic resin,ABS has excellent comprehensive properites,but its unique chemical structure makes it easy to burn.Through the study of ABS flame retardant modification and other modified,it is found that the mechanical properties such as strength and modulus of modified ABS material usually declined sharply.It is excepted that the acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene/methyl vinyl silicone rubber(ABS/MVQ)blends can be prepared by dynamic vulcanization technology.The materials with high strength,good toughness and good heat resistance can be prepared to broaden the application field of ABS.The effects of different rubber/plastics ratio on the properties of ABS/MVQ simple blends and the influence of four curing systems on the properties of ABS/MVQ blends during dynamic vulcanization were studied.The effects of the types of curing agent,the dosage of curing agent and the cocuring agent on the rheological properties,heat resistance,mechanical properties,microstructure and thermal stability of the blend system were discussed.The optimal dynamic vulcanization system was applied in the ABS modification system.The results show that:With the increased of MVQ content in ABS/MVQ simple blends,the impact strength of blends increased first and then decreased,and the melt flow rate,tensile strength and thermal deformation temperature decreased gradually.When the content of MVQ was 6 phr,the notch impact strength of the system was the largest,and the other properties decreased slightly and relatively stable.Among the four organic peroxide vulcanization systems,the optimum dosage of DBPMH was 0.04%,and the vulcanization systems had good mechanical properties and high thermal deformation temperature.The optimum dosage of DCP was 0.08%,and the vulcanization systems had the greatest thermal deformation temperature.The optimum dosage of BIBP was 0.06%,and the vulcanization systems had a great tensile strength and MFR.The optimum dosage of BPO was 0.05%,and the vulcanization systems had a large notched impact strength and flexural modulus.When the content of curing agent DBPMH was 0.04%and the content of TAIC was 0.032%,ABS/MVQ blends had the best comprehensive properties.Dynamic vulcanization increased the shear viscosity of ABS/MVQ blends,enhanced the pseudoplastic properties of non Newtonian fluids and and and decreased melt fluidity.Dynamic vulcanization enhanced the heat resistance and mechanical properties of ABS/MVQ blends.Dynamic vulcanization enhanced the interfacial adhesion and compatibility of ABS/MVQ blends.Dynamic vulcanization kept the thermal stability of ABS/MVQ blends well.Dynamic vulcanization improved the impact strength of ABS modification system,increased the residual carbon content,and improved the flame retardant effect.
