With the application of super absorbent resin more and more widely,the demand in China is also increasing.At present,the super absorbent resin produced in the pure water has higher water absorption,but lower in the saline solution.Therefore,the study of super absorbable resin with good salt resistance has become the main research direction in the field of science and technology workers.In addition,on the basis of maintaining a certain salt tolerance,improving their comprehensive performance is also the focus of research.Two kinds of super absorbent resin are prepared: ordinary super absorbent resin and salt resistant super absorbent resin.The ordinary super absorbent resin is acrylic acid(AA)as the polymerization monomer,the salt resistant super absorbent resin is acrylic acid and 2-acrylamide-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid(AMPS)as the polymerization monomer.Corn starch was used as polymerization substrate,ammonium persulfate(APS)as initiator,sodium hydroxide as neutralization solution,N,N-methylene bis acrylamide(MBA)as crosslinking agent,and reacted in aqueous solution.Through the single factor and orthogonal experiments,initiator,crosslinking agent,neutralization degree,reaction temperature,monomer ratio(AMPS:AA ratio)and other factors on the water absorbent(saline)rates,and performance testing and structural characterization of a series of for two kinds of super absorbent resin.The optimum synthesis conditions of integrated single factor and orthogonal experiment showed that the preparation of ordinary super absorbent resin,the amount of initiator(total amount of mono,the same below)is 6%,crosslinking agent is 1.5%,the reaction temperature is65?,neutralization degree is 80%,the maximum absorption rate is 1824.4%,the salt absorption rate is 226.7%.Using the range analysis method,we can see the influence degree of each factor on its water absorption and saltwater absorption rate is in the order of main and secondary orderis: initiator dosage > crosslinking agent dosage > reaction temperature > neutralization degree.The best synthetic process conditions for preparing salt resistant super absorbent resin:initiator dosage is 6%,crosslinking agent dosage is 1.5%,reaction temperature is 65 ?,monomer ratio is 1:9,the maximum absorption rate is 1990.7%,and salt absorption rate is292.9%.Using the range analysis method,we can see the influence degree of each factor on its water absorption and saltwater absorption rate is in the order of main and secondary orderis:crosslinking agent > initiator dosage > reaction temperature > monomer ratio.Compare the performance of various common salt resistant super absorbent resin with ordinary super absorbent resin.According to the results of the analysis,water absorption speed and water retention rate and pH sensitivity and repeated water absorbing capacity of salt resistant super absorbent resin was obviously better than that of ordinary super absorbent resin;Byinfrared spectroscopy analysis,C=C bond breaking,monomer all participated in the reaction;TGA tests show that the heat-resistant properties of the super absorbent resin is good;scanning electron microscope analysis shows that super absorbent resin is a reticulated structure,improve the water absorption capacity.According to the experimental results,using the optimum synthetic process conditions as the technological formula,base on the production of 40000 tons / year salt resistant super absorbent resin,design and selection of polymerization reactor,provide theoretical basis for industrial production.
