Eucommia ulmoides gum(EUG)is a kind of natural polymer materials which is the isomer of natural rubber(NR).eucommia ulmoides gum has excellent performance with low heat,salt spray resistance,low rolling resistance and other characteristics,it is an important natural Resources.the high-quality tires.This article studies the eucommia ulmoides gum(EUG)/ natural rubber(NR)blend as follows.The effects of the crystallinity EUG/NR blend to the process properties were studied.The performance of the compound was characterized by mechanical properties and process properties.The results showed that the process properties,mechanical properties and wear properties of the blends were improved before the filling the 50 parts of eucommia ulmoides gum,the hardness and density increased gradually,and the Mooney viscosity increased slightly.Through the analysis of rotational rheometer and scanning electron microscopy(SEM),the process properties changes were related to the change of microcrystals in the system.The effects of different parts of naphthenic oil to the properties of EUG/NR blend were investigated.The mechanical properties and vulcanization properties of the compound were characterized.The results showed that the properties of the compound rubber were improved with the increase of naphthenic oil obviously,the Mooney viscosity decreased gradually,the physical properties,dispersion properties,rheological properties,abrasion properties and flexural properties of the vulcanizates are all significantly improved.The results of SEM and rubber processing analyzer(RPA)demonstrated that this phenomenon was associated with the addition of the naphthenic oil to make the dye disperse more uniformity.The effects of different parts of petroleum resin to the properties of EUG/NR blend were studied.Through the mechanical properties and vulcanization characteristic,the experiments characterized the performance of rubber.The results showed that with the increase of petroleum resin,the performance of the rubber compound was improved obviously,the Mooney viscosity was gradually decreased and the physical properties of the rubber vulcanizate was significantly improved.The effects of different process technology to the properties of EUG/NR blend were studied.The performance of the compound was characterized with mechanical properties and vulcanization characteristics.The results showed that the properties of the compound rubber were improved by using the new and special process,the Mooney viscosity decreases gradually,and the physical properties,dispersibility,rheological properties,abrasionperformance and flexural properties of the vulcanizates are improved remarkably.This phenomenon was related to the crystallization of the eucommia ulmoides gum,the continuous phase of the matrix and the dispersion of the filler,as analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and rubber process analyzers.
