Marine biofouling is a strict problem which hinders the development of marine economy.Effective antifouling is significant for maritime power strategy of our country.Coating is the most effective method for preventing and controlling the biofouling.Traditional antifouling coatings are effective on antifouling,but it is harmful to the marine environment.As people paying more attention to the marine ecological environment,nontoxic antifouling coatings gain more attention.So far,lots of effective antifouling techniques have been developed,but most of them are just suitable for the components of smaller area due to their unattainable complicated technological processes in practice,consequently cannot meet the actual project demands for the marine constructs those simultaneously possess larger volumes and surface areas and must be pretreated outdoors.Therefore,in this paper,the silicone modified acrylic resin with low surface energy and high corrosion resistant ability was synthesized by using the properties of organic silicon,which possesses low surface energy and can introduce the organic silicon into the molecules of acrylic resins.Meanwhile,the influences of SiO2 particle size and dosages on the properties of the coating were studied.The main content of this thesis is as follows:First,the organic silicon modified acrylic resin was prepared via the free radical polymerization in solution.The influences of main factors on the property of the coating were analyzed through the single factor and orthogonal experiments.The optimal technological condition was found out:the dosage of vinyl tri-methoxysilane was 23wt%,the ratio of the methyl methacrylate and n-butyl acrylate was 7.5:2.5,the dosage of AIBN was 0.5wt%and the dosage of HTPDMS was 7.5wt%.The contact angle between the coating and water was up to 105.9° and the stability of the coating was excellent.Then,the effect of SiO2 particles on the performance of coating whose binder was the silicone modified acrylic resin we obtained was investigated by CA test,EIS,SEM and AFM.We found that micron-sized SiO2 particles improved the corrosion resistance of the coating,but it had little impact on the hydrophobicity of the coating.While the nano-SiO2 particles significantly improved the hydrophobic(the static contact angle with water up to 126.1°)and anti-corrosion performance(Z|0.01 Hz were greater than 108?cm2)of the coating.The reason is that the addition of nano-SiO2 particles into the coatings can significantly increase the surface roughness and induce a large number of micro-nano structure on their surface.At last,the effect of the mixture containing micron-sized SiO2 particles and nano-SiO2 particles on coatings was preliminary investigated.Their better performance than the individual micro or nano-SiO2 particles proposed that the addition of both of them is one of effective ways to obtain high-performance anti-fouling coatings.
