As a new kind of organic material,metal complexes have become the hotspot in the field of modern chemistry.Its unique topology and the diversity of its structure change make organic metal ligand materials have been widely used in our daily life.Among them,the development of is especially remarkable.With the development of metal organic chemistry,heterocyclic compounds and their metal complexes have also been the attention of the world.heterocyclic compounds is a class of compounds containing one heteroatom or more heteroatoms of five-membered ring or six-membered ring or fused-ring.Because of the variety of heterocyclic compounds and their wide use,heterocyclic compounds have broad prospects in the development of organic chemistry.Their novel structure and different bond types result in further study in structural chemistry.Among them,1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-diketone and its derivatives occupy an important position in crystallography and luminescent polymer materials science because of their unique strucher and excellent coordination ability with metal.What's more,N atom of C=N in schiff base which has a pair of lone pair electrons can form stable complexes with transition metals and heavy metals.Schiff base can form complexes with the most of the metal ions in the periodic table that make Schiff base is one of the most widely used ligands in coordination chemistry.We prepared a series of 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-diketone derivatives and their complexes.The structure and fluorescent properties of the ligands and the compleses were investigated by means of the 1H-NMR,FTIR,UV and Fluorescence Detection.The data of 1H-NMR indicate that the chemical shift of hydrogen on the aromatic ring of complexes moves to low field compared to the ligands.But the chemical shift of hydrogens on alkyl chain have hardly any change at all.This is due to the aromatic rings are conjugate.After the ligands coordinated with rhenium ion,the electron clcrud density on the aromatic ring is reduced.So the chemical shift of hydrogens on the aromatic ring of complexes move to low field.However,the hydrogens on the alkyl chain are not conjugate.So the electron cloud density change is not obvious.The result we can see is that the chemical shift of hydrogens on the alkyl chain have hardly any change at all.Through fluorescence spectrum wo can know that the fluorescence intensity of 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-diketone derivatives replace by thiophene is stronger than 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-diketone derivatives replace by bromide.The thiophene ring is a electron donating group which can enhance fluorescence intensity.On the contrary,the fluorescence spectrum was quenched by bromine.Similarity,metal rhenium will also result in fluorescence spectrum of the complexes.We also prepared a series of schiff bases and their complexes.The structure and fluorescent properties of the ligands and the compleses were investigated by means of the 1H-NMR,FTIR and UV.To synthetize schiff base,different reactants needs different conditions.Reactants with high reactivity just need under the condition of ethanol reflux.Reactants with low reactivity need higher reaction temperature.Sometimes sodium hydroxide as a catalyst is necessary.
