In recent years Silicone-based finishing agents developed rapidly,because of its low price,and a variety of different functions can be imparted to the fabric by various modification.With the economic development of modern society,people for fabric waterproof performance requirements are also getting higher and higher.Therefore,In this study octamethyl siloxane(D4),Vinyltrimethoxysilane and long carbon chain trimethoxysilane and N-?-(aminoethyl)-?-aminopropyl dimethoxysilane,epichlorohydrin are used as the starting material synthetic containing long carbon chain co-modified silicone oil,with an amino group,a vinyl group,an epoxy group.Based on single factor experiment with Polymerization time,Polymerization temperature,vacuum time,vacuum temperature,the amount of secondary modification modifier,orthogonal experiment with modified material,get the best synthesis process:The D4,distilled water,the catalyst was added three-necked flask,at 90-100 ? reaction 1h,cooled to 60 ?,added amino coupling agent 5%,long carbon chain coupling agent 1.25%,a vinyl coupling agent 1.0%,0.10% catalyst,the reaction gradually temperature was raised to 120 ? 2h,cooled to 80 ? evacuated 30 min,adding an appropriate amount of is opropanol,stirred for 30 min,after completion of the reaction,the pH was adjusted to 5-6by adding an epoxy modifier than the substance of amino coupling agent is 3: 1,70 ?reaction 2h,is a synthetic product.Synthesis product is finishing on cotton fabric,its surface structure is analyzed using a scanning electron microscope.Through the synthetic product infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)test,its structure is analyzed.Based on emulsion stability tests to determine the type and proportion of emulsifier:use of non-ionic emulsifiers 1305 and 1307,3% emulsifier,Latex solid content of30%,HLB value is determined to be 10.4-10.6.After the synthesized product was emulsified for application testing on cotton fabric and compare with commercially available water repellent,by rolling over rate,dipping time,curing time,curing temperature selection process to determine the best application as follows:thee-mulsion pH 5-6,finishing agent in an amount of100g/L,the immersion time is 4min,rolling over is 75%,two impregnated two rolling Pre-bake 100 ? 2min,temperature is170?,curing time 3 min.Compare the best application process treated fabrics with a commercially available water repellent properties of WP-107 A using in the same kind of fabric,Experimental results show that,after the modified silicone emulsion treated cotton fabric has water resistance,as compared with the commercially available water repellent,both water proof performance considerably,interms of breath ability,softness,durability,etc.is superior to the commercially available water repellent and therefore have a certain prospect.So the modified water repellent is a worth developing product.
