This thesis includes two parts.The first part reviews the leguminosae Bauhinia Linn.?s chemical composition and pharmacological activities of the literature. And studied leguminous plant Bauhi-nia championii(Benth.) Benth.?s chemical composition and antibacterial activity.There are nineteen kinds of compounds were isolated from Leguminosae plant Bauhinia championii(Benth.) Benth?s ethanol extract, their structures were identified as ?-sitosterol(1), ?-daucosterol(2), ?-amyrin(3), Lupeol(4), Germanicol(5), n-triacon-tane(6), n-hexacontane(7), 5, 6, 7,5?-tetramethoxy-3?,4?-me thylenedioxy flavone(8), 5,6,7,3?,4?,5?-hexamethoxy flavone(9), 5,7,3?,4?,5?-pentame thoxyflavone(10), 5,6,7, 3?,4?-pentamethoxy flavone(11), 5,7,3?,4?-tetramethoxy flavone(12), 5,7,4?-trimeth-oxy flavone(13), 3,5,7,3?,4?-pentahydroxy flavone(14),(-)-epiafzelechin(15), Oleano-lic acid(16), Gallic acid(17), Quercitrin(18), Myricitrin(19). on the basis of IR, NMR spectral analysis and chemical methods. Among them, compounds 3?4?5?13?15 and 16 are obtained from this plant for the first time.Besides, the antibacterial activity of this plant, results showed that the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of the plant. E. coli(MIC) 7.81mg/mL?Shigella Shigella(MIC)31.25mg/m L?Staphylococcus epidermidis(MIC) 3.91mg/mL?Bacillus subtilis(MIC)62.5mg/m L?Staphylococcusaureus(MIC)7.81 mg/m L.The second part, to study the Asteraceae plant Crassocephalum crepidioides(Benth.) S. Moore?s chemical composition. And six compounds were isolated from this plant?s acetone extract, On the basis of IR, NMR spectral analysis and chemical methods, their structures were identified as ?-sitosterol(1), Lupeol(2), Taraxasterol(3), Pseudotaraxasterol(4), Taraxasteryl acetate(5), ?-amyrin(6). All compounds were ob-tained from this plant for the first time.
