Styrene oxidation reaction is a valuable research because the products are organic intermediates with multiple functions.Among the products,benzaldehyde and styrene oxide have been paid highest attention.Benzaldehyde is one of the important fine chemical materials widely used in the production of spices,dyes and drugs.Styrene oxide is also an important organic intermediate in the synthesis of chemicals and pharmaceutical.At present,the synthesis of benzaldehyde and styrene oxide requires a long process and expensive materials,and it will produce a great number of toxic products polluting the environment.Therefore,the method of producing benzaldehyde and styrene oxide by the oxidation of styrene with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant was highly praised.While,looking for the efficient and environmentally friendly catalyst has become a hot spot of research.In this paper,we discussed the catalytic activity of VOSO4 and the complexes that synthesized by VOSO4.The effects of the reaction time,the amount of catalyst and H2O2 were investigated.Then,we found the selectivity of styrene oxide improved obviously at the presence of Na2CO3.Besides,[VOSO 4(bpz*ea T)]·C5H8O4·CH3CN(3),[VOSO4(bpz*ea T)]·0.5C6H10O4(4)and[VOSO4(bpz*eaT)]C8H14O4(5),(bpz*eaT=2,4-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-6-diethylamino-1,3,5-triazine)were synthesis in the acetonitrile.The structures of these complexes were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy.
