The coal mining machine is one of the most important equipment of fully-mechanized mining.The roller is the most important part of the coal mining machine that is mainly used to cut coal,load coal and perform some other dangerous task.The efficacy of Shearer?the quality of coal and face dust generation rate is directly determined by the performance of the drum.If these requirements are met,the life of coal mining machine will be improved,the quality of coal will increase and more money will be made,also production accidents will be decreased and the working environment will be much safer.The structure of the drum has a great influence on the drum coal rate.The arrangement and installation of the cutting tooth is very important to the drum.So it is necessary to research on the structural and motion parameters of the drum,to ensure that the drum is always in its best working condition.This thesis mainly focuses on three parts?In the first part,the author uses the digital product design software to set up the model of the drum with different structural parameters and accomplish the simulation of the drum cutting the coal rock using the dynamics analysis software,also the force on the cutting pick is recorded,and then the author studies the cutting performance of the drum with different structural parameters such as the different tangential install angles and different axial tilt angles of the pick,the different arrangement of the pick and so on;In the second part,the author accomplished the simulation of the cutting process under 16 different motion parameter conditions,and researches on the relationship between the specific energy consumption of cutting and the motion parameters such as the translational speed and rotational speed.In the third part,the author uses the there-dimension discrete element method software to set the model of the coal rock,and simulates the process of the drum cutting the coal rock,the result showed that the DEM method has more advantage over the finite element method in simulating the cutting process.The research is of great significance in improving the efficiency of the coal mining machine,and provides a feasible method to choose the optimum structural parameters and motion parameters of the drum.
