With the progress of science and technology,high-power traction shearer has been widely used.With the increase of installed power,the traction power is increasing accordingly.Shearer traction is the running gear,with the electrical control box composed the body of electrical traction shearer so that it stands an important location.With the increase of traction power,the input power is increasing accordingly.As a result,friction calorific of gear and bearing is increasing greatly.If these heat increases surpass the bearable range of traction,the shearer cannot work normally.Therefore,the research on heat balance and temperature field of traction is more and more important and significant.On the basis of temperature field indispensable,the highest temperature increases can be got.In this way,the failure of gear and bearing resulted from the temperature can be prevented.In this way,the service life is prolonged and the efficiency oftraction is improved heavily.The breakdowns for its high temperature are reduced greatly.In order to study the temperature balance of shearer traction and other parts,the calorific value of heat source and heat dissipation site should be analyzed firstly according to the traction actual working status.The heat resource of traction includes a frictional heat of the gear,bearing roller friction heat,gear stir oil heat and oil seal power loss fever.The shearer cutting cooling methods mainly include cooling water cooling,lubricating oil cooling and heat exchange of the shell.After calculating the calorific value of heat resource and heat dissipation sites,the balance temperature of traction can be calculated by iterative method on the basis of law of conservation of energy,which provided the data basis to the temperature field post simulation.And then,the 3D model of shearer traction was founded by UG.The parts of traction were simplified on the basis of no affecting finite element analysis,including omitting gear,bearing,box chamfer,box fillet,and lug boss,etc.Finally,the parts were imported to FEA software to execute analysis.The parts of traction were simulated by ANSYS to do a steady temperature field simulation and get the temperature distribution nephogram.The results show that the distribution of gear,bearing,shaft and box fits to the heat transfer law.It provides the basis to traction design.
