Simulation And Verification Of The Drop Test Of Pneumatic Nailer

Pneumatic nailer is a kind of portable air tool using high pressure gas as its power.It has been widely used in home appliance,building construction,packaging industry and other fields due to its numerous advantages such as simply,clean and reliable.Pneumatic nailer is portable instruments,and always been used in high altitude.So it may easily dropped when in processing.Mechancial impact in the drop process can damage the products and lead to function failure.Normally it's effective method to solve dropping issue of complex structure with finite element method and actual dropping test data,and it will improve the precision of finite element simulation.A certain type of pneumatic nailer produced by domestic enterprise has been taken as the object in the paper.A numerical simulation is conducted in order to study the dynamic process that the pneumatic nailer drop in two posture.Then,a pneumatic nalier's drop test system is built and been used to verify the reliability of the simulation.The main tasks and achievements are presented as follows:(1)According to the actual situation of this study,a reasonable geometric model is defined.(2)According to the theory of multi-body dynamics,a virtual prototype model of the pneumatic nailer is built with HyperMesh and LS-DYNA.The drop posture and drop altitude is regard as the input of the simulation system,and the time and frequency domain curves of the impact acceleration of the pneumatic nailer are obtained.(3)According to portable instruments drop test stystem among home and abroad,a pneumatic nailer drop test stystem is built to meet the demand of pneumatic nailer drop test.(4)The experimental scheme is desighed to verify the reliability of the simulation with the help of the pneumatic nailer drop test stystem.(5)Several suggestions about the pneumatic nailer drop test system are raised.The system can be an important reference to the research of simulation and verification.
