The Interaction Between Economic Development Disequilibrium And Environmental Pollution

Chinese rapid economic growth caused the imbalance of regional economic development.which directly affect the balance of income and welfare distribution,environmental pollution is no exception.Caused by unbalanced economic development,the environmental problem is serious regional differences of environmental pollution.That potential environmental risk is not equal,affects people's healthy life and expands the welfare gap between regions.At the same time.the potential environmental risk restricts the local economy green development and increase the productivity differences between regions,and further inhibit the harmonious development of the economy as a whole.This paper based on the Yangtze river economic belt of more than 105 local and city data,using the Gini index,the Theil index,the weighted variation coefficient and the Moran's I index,evaluated the imbalance degree of the income distribution,industrial waste water,industrial sulfur dioxide and industrial smoke(powder)dust emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Found that the income disparity and pollution emissions has a tendency to narrow the regional difference.The income gap and pollution emissions differences are maintained at a higher level in the middle reach of Yangtze River.Both agglomeration and pollution has significant positive space correlation.Therefore,we preliminary think that there exist inner link between economic imbalance and environment pollution.Then,use economic density and pollution emissions intensity respectively represent the characteristics of unbalanced economic development and the environmental pollution in the city level.Found that not all cities which economic density are high the pollution intensity are also high.Therefore,the interaction between economic development disequilibrium and environmental imbalance is not a simple relationship.Then put the environmental factors into the output density function for theoretical model research.Start from the output end to analyze the economic effect on pollution intensity.Start from the input end to analyze the effect of pollution density in economic density.Theoretical research the interaction of the economic imbalances and the environmental pollution.Research finds that the impact of the economic strength of pollution density is a critical level,the pollution intensity firstly increase with the rising of economy,and then decreases with the increase of the density.The adverse effect of environmental pollution on economic inequality also has different direction.In the early economic agglomeration,environmental inequality inhibits the unbalanced development of economy,when the marginal rate of return of factors of production down to a certain level as the market is crowded,pollution is no longer inhibiting economic aggregation.Constructed on the basis of the theoretical model,the simultaneous equations are built which include the pollution equation and the economic density equation in order to solve the problem of endogenous.Join the spatial lag in equation to study the spatial spillover of economic agglomeration and environmental pollution.The empirical results show that the density of economic impact on pollution emissions intensity is inverted "U" type.Environmental pollution has inhibitory effect to the economic cluster in the short term,and stimulates the economic agglomeration in the long term.Environmental pollution and economic agglomeration can through spatial spillover effects affect surrounding city.In addition,foreign direct investment,the proportion of secondary industry will increase pollution along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The investment of science and technology can significantly control the environmental pollution emissions.The more convenient transportation,the greater the potential market,the more conducive to promoting economic agglomeration.Excessive population will stifle economic density continues to rise.Finally,the article puts forward the perfection of the mechanism of urban agglomeration coordinated development,promote the integration of urban agglomeration development,set up the regional environmental joint management organization,to promote environmental management policy innovation,and continue to promote the innovation in environmental policy and other policy recommendations.
