Game Console is one of the world's most widely used gaming platform,can give people's busy life to bring leisure,fitness,entertainment and other experiences.Game Console field has been at the forefront of the development of the times,based on the game console industry gives birth to a lot of new technologies,such as virtual reality applications,somatosensory technology.In China,the Game Console industry has just started,with the January 2014 Game Host ban had released,people in China had gradually paid attention to the Game Console.STM32F4 is the hardware device for the prototype of the Game Console in this project,which is an industrial embedded platform based on the new ARM core released by STMicroelectronics in Europe in 2013.STM32F4 has a low power consumption,open source core code base and low cost of production characteristics,which can be used as hardware development equipment,is widely used in industrial control systems,unmanned aerial vehicles,smart home,military industry and other fields.The Game Console also has some flaws.First of all,the Console and the game which monopolize this paltform can be very expensive.Secondly,some types of Game Console will meet the shortcomings which wastes too much time of waiting from the booting the system to entering the games.It brings a negative user experience and even the Game Console sales decline in the consequences.Finally,in China,The highest percentage of the Game Console market share is the Android Game Console,the game of this paleform is mainly transplanted in the mobile platform,which do not their own exclusive platform games.As a result of cross,platform transplant games,it is difficult to run the game screen fluency,and to have great playability.In order to solve defects which includes the expensive cost,long boot wait time,not smooth the game running screen,the lack of host exclusive number of games of the Android system Game Console in China.Therefore,this article chooses the STM32F4 which is cheap and has the core code to open source as the hardware design the prototype,FatFs file system which runs relatively smooth in the embedded system as the software architecture,the MDK5.1.4 which produced by United States Keil Software as an integrated development environment,the use of exclusive number of games Nintendo NES host as the type of Game Console to complete embedded game console prototype design a which have the advantages of the smooth picture performance,a good user experience,and the low price.In the game console prototype software modules include INFONES simulator porting,FatFs file system Built-in,font update and H264 decoding module design;hardware part of the transplant and design reference STM32F4 chip STM32F4 chip related to the C language code,mainly completed the font chip,FLASH,I2S,game controller,LCD,LED and other modules Build.The Game Console prototype choose STM32 as the hardware platform,FatFs as a software foundation.The GameConsole not only has the price advantages,but also H264 video decoding to obtain a more smooth picture,transplant NES host has a rich number of games and types,FAT file system also provides a good user experience,so it has a certain degree of availability and value.
