Association type water based polyurethane thickener is the third generation thickener,has excellent thickening performance,and the additive green environmental protection,greatly meet the requirements of the current national implementation of environmental protection,is the current high-end rheological additives.So it is urgent to carry out the study on the implementation and research of the association type water borne polyurethane thickening agent,which is of great significance to the research of the auxiliary agent in China.Associative polyurethane thickener molecular structure determines the thickeners performance,the molecular structure and the active groups of raw material research and the understanding of applicable conditions of raw material screening synthesis the raw material of the target product;and the synthesis of prepolymerization,chain extension,capping three steps of the process optimization.The research shows that the optimum conditions for the synthesis of associative thickener type waterborne polyurethane prepolymer: with two lauric acid two butyl tin catalyst to molecular weight of polyethylene glycol 6000 and IPDI ratio of the R value is 2 for the polymerization,when the prepolymer with acetone as solvent,pre polymerization temperature is 65 C,prepolymerization time for the 1H to complete the pre polymerization;with glycerol monostearate as chain extender,chain extender R'value is 2.5,the temperature is 100 C,the reaction time is 2H to complete the chain extension reaction;with sixteen alcohol as capping agent,sealing temperature is 90 DEG C,sealing the end time for 1.5h to complete the blocking reaction,finally using ethylene glycol and water to complete the letter to obtain the end reaction of the polymer emulsion with solid content emulsion thickener 20%.The process and parameters of the synthesis of the thickening agent performance is the best.This topic will be the associative polyurethane thickener used in printing,color printing and the permeability through the fabric pattern definition on associative polyurethane thickener used in printing,the best content of the thickener is 1.5%.The performance of this topic of the association type of waterborne polyurethane thickener were tested.The influence system of temperature,acid,alkali,surfactant and other externalfactors on the association type of waterborne polyurethane thickener performance.The experimental results show that the optimization of waterborne polyurethane associative synthesized in this paper the thickening agent has good acid resistance,but also can promote the thermal stability of the emulsion system;but the thickener is not resistant to sodium alkali,ammonia and water will not affect the viscosity of thickener;the thickener can selectively and some surfactants play a synergistic thickening very good;the thickener viscosity will increase with the temperature decreased rapidly,but when start to cool viscosity will rise,indicating the influence of temperature on the viscosity of thickener is reversible.
