The thesis is based on the upgrading and transforming process of a SPM Control Unit of a cold strip factory,which was built by in 50s,by combining the technology and the experience collected from the design,installation and commissioning of the project.The factory has a transformed SPM of DC system and 2 totally new reversible mills under stable operation,which provide reliable technique support for the new transformed unit.The new transformed unit requires leading equipments and technology in the same industry,easy to maintain,low failure rate,and autonomous control system.By combining features of SPM control and the actual situation,site survey and data analysis,the lectotype,design,debugging and programming of equipments are carried out,and also the research and analysis to the applied technology.The transformed unit has been put into production.The equipments appear a good function,friendly operation and comprehensive maintenance,which increase the production ability and quality of SPM.,main work shows as follows:(1)Analyze the control system of ANSTEEL 1500 SPM line;Research the scheme of the control system upgrade for ANSTEEL 1500 SPM line and compare with the one before the upgrade.(2)Research the drive and L1 system of ANSTEEL 1500 SPM line and complete the upgrade of drive and LI system by design of the hardware.commission of the converter and programming for T400.(3)Complete the design and upgrade of L2 system;The measurement,calculation,control mode and control system model are studied in detail,improve the prediction accuracy of the control model.As the core technology of the SPM line,it has met the need of the field production.In the end,conclusions according to research work of project and paper have been drawn;following work and research directions have been pointed out.Some research achievements in this thesis have certain instructional meaning and reference value to future in Smooth Pass.
