With the rapid development of automation and intelligent industries,more and more industries are beginning to develop assembly lines suitable for their own products,aiming at reducing labor costs and improve product production efficiency and production quality.In the umbrella industry,due to the complexity of the umbrella manufacturing process and the costs limit of the umbrella,it is difficult to achieve automatic and intelligent production.In order to improve competitiveness,most of the domestic Umbrella-making companies use a large amount of cheap labor to reduce costs by manual assembly,but production efficiency is still low.In addition,most Umbrella-making companies adopt the modular production mode when producing umbrellas,that is,the processing and assembly of parts are carried out independently in different workshops.Both of them are equally important for ensuring the quality of products,However,after investigation,it is found that enterprises tend to pay more attention to the processing of products and tend to ignore the assembly,which leads to the uneven quality of products.In order to change the above situation and meet the needs of enterprises,it is urgent to develop and design an assembly line with high efficiency,low cost and automatic assembly of umbrella parts.Umbrella parts include the umbrella tail,the umbrella bead,the umbrella surface,the umbrella skeleton,the umbrella handle,etc.In the early stage,laboratory has independently developed an automatic assembly line about the umbrella tail and the umbrella bead.In order to realize the automatic assembly of umbrella parts as soon as possible,this paper will focus on the research on key technologies of the automatic assembly line for umbrella handles.Firstly,this paper refers to the traditional manual assembly process of the umbrella handle and draws up the process of the automatic assembly of the umbrella handle.According to the process of the automatic assembly,the scheme of the automatic assembly line for the umbrella handle is designed.The design is mainly composed of four parts,including the design of automatic supplying device for umbrella handles,the design of automatic supplying device for the umbrella bodies,the design of automatic material conveying device for the umbrella bodies and the design of automatic unloading device for the umbrellas.After the design of the general scheme is determined,the automatic supplying targets of the umbrella handles,the automatic supplying targets of the umbrella bodies and the automatic assembly targets of the umbrella handles and the umbrella bodies are designed according to the demand.In addition,the size of the key parts on the umbrella handle and the parameters of the control components are designed and calculated according to the design targets.Secondly,the key technologies in the process of umbrella handle assembly are discussed in detail.The main purpose is to solve the problem that the orientation of the micro blind hole on the umbrella body is opposite to the orientation of the umbrella handle when the umbrella handles are assembled with the umbrella bodies.For this requirement,the main method adopted in this paper is to detect and locate the 2mm tiny blind holes on the black umbrella.The way is to establishes the machine vision detection platform and then adopt two positioning methods to deteramine the azimuth of the blind hole,and finally verify the reliability of the two detection and positioning methods through physical experiments.After determining the azimuth of the blind hole,the direction of the blind hole is adjusted to be vertically upward by the motor rotating the umbrella body,and so the umbrella handles and the umbrella bodies can be stably assembled together according to the required posture on the basis of ensuring that the umbrella handle hook is oriented vertically downward.Then,the control system on the automatic assembly line of the umbrella handle is designed.The control scheme is determined according to the assembly process,and the control flow chart is drawn.The assignment of PLC input and output ports is determined accordin g to the number of components being controlled.The number and type of PLC controllers and expansion modules are determined based on factors such as control requirements,input and output port quantities,memory capacities and cost.Based on the above steps,the port wiring diagram of the PLC and the expansion module,circuit diagram,the detailed component wiring diagram,and the distribution diagram of the PLC control cabinet are drawn.Finally,an experimental study on the automatic assembly line of the umbrella handle is carried out According to the design,the experimental model is built step by step to verify the reliability of some schemes.In addition,the PLC simulation software and S7-200 226CN DC/DC/DC(PLC)are used to simulate the control flow on automatic assembly line of the umbrella handle,which verify the feasibility of the control scheme.
