Methyl ethyl ketone(MEK)-Toluene dewaxing is the most costly production step in the production of lubricating base oil I.The introduction of high molecular polymer filter aid in the production process can change the crystallization behavior of paraffin in the raw material oil and increase the crystal size of paraffin,thus Increasing the filtration speed,increasing the yield of dewaxed oil and the yield of deoiled wax,reducing the oil yield contained in wax and the oil content in the wax,and improving the production and economic benefits of the MEK-Toluene dewaxing device.In this paper,five kinds of high molecular polymers were selected,and the effects of polymer and cooling rate on the wax appearance temperature,crystal enthalpy and crystal size of paraffin crystals in the two raw oils of second cut of vacuum gas oil(VGO2)and forth cut of vacuum gas oil(VGO4)were investigated.Through researching yield of dewaxed oil,yield of deoiled wax,yield of wax oil,condensation point of dewaxed oil,filtration rate,oil content in wax and drop melting point of wax,the effect of solvent ketone ratio,polymer and polymer dosage on the MEK-Toluene dewaxing of VGO2 and VGO4 is obtained.The experimental results show that the polymers A1 and E3 can increase the wax appearance temperature,the crystal enthalpy and the average crystal size of VGO2 wax,and VGO2 wax is easier to crystallize and grow during the cooling process,A1 and E3 show the characteristics of filter aid,which is more suitable for adding 100ppm;B2,F4 and G5 reduce the wax appearance temperature,the crystal enthalpy and the average crystal size of VGO2 wax,so that VGO2 wax is difficult to crystallize and grow during the cooling process,and B2,F4 and G5 exhibit the characteristics of the pour point depressant.E3 increases the wax appearance temperature,the crystal enthalpy,the average crystal size and crystal aggregation of VGO4 wax,and shows the characteristics of the filter aid,suitable dosage is 100ppm;A1,B2,F4 and G5 reduce the wax appearance temperature,the crystal enthalpy and the average crystal size of VGO4 wax;indicating that E3 is used as a filter aid for good universality,while A1 shows different effects according to different raw materials,and its universality is insufficient.Different cooling rates will affect the crystallization behavior of the wax crystals.The slower cooling rate can make the size of the paraffin crystal larger and increase the wax appearance temperature.The ketone ratio has an effect on the dewaxing effect of the MEK-Toluene dewaxing.The optimum ketone ratio of VGO2 is 60,and the optimum ketone ratio of VGO4 is 50.
