This thesis introduces the research background,purpose and significance of the influence of polymer concentration on oil-water hydrocyclone separator,and expounds the important effect of the introduction of polymer on the hydrocyclonic separation of oil-water two-phase.Based on the rheological properties of aqueous polymer solution,detailed research methods were determined.The polyacrylamide aqueous solution with the concentration of 0~5000mg/L was set up and the rheological properties were tested.The power law fluid model was used to analyze the characteristic parameters based on the rheological properties.Finally,the rheological equations with different concentrations were obtained.The spiral flow-guided hydrocyclone was selected as the research object.The velocity field at the cone section of the polymer concentration of 0 mg/L(clear water)was tested by PIV flow field velocity measurement technique.And the simulation value is compared with the experimental value to verify the applicability of RSM turbulence model.The creation,meshing and grid independence of the hydrocyclone fluid domain were completed using Solidworks,Gambit and Fluent software.The calculation of the continuous phase flow field is corrected according to the rheological equation obtained by the test.The viscosity and shear rate distribution,velocity field(tangential velocity,axial velocity,radial velocity),pressure distribution and energy loss of the hydrocyclone were analyzed in detail from 0 to 5000 mg/L.Based on the calculation of continuous phase flow field,the DPM model was used to simulate the oil-water two-phase flow.The influence of the polymer concentration on the movement trajectory and movement speed(divided speed and speed magnitude)of each single oil droplet was studied.And the separation efficiency of large particle number oil droplets was counted.Finally,the impact analysis of different oil droplet sizes was carried out.The separation characteristics test of the hydrocyclone at 0~5000mg/L polymer concentration were carried out by means of high-speed camera technology and oil concentration analysis.The oil-water two-phase distribution field in the hydrocyclone was visualized,and the separation efficiency and pressure drop loss of the hydrocyclone at different polymer concentrations in actual operation were obtained.At the same time,the numerical simulation and experimental results were compared and analyzed,and the difference between theoretical and actual separation performance was observed.
