Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear has construction cramped,excellent transmission quality,low noise and loaded behavior.It's the main form of gear drives in the bevel gear's technology field in the world.Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear is widely used in the automotive,mining machinery,aviation and other industry fields.It is an important development direction of the curve tooth bevel gear.Bevel gear's tooth surface geometry is very complicated and the tooth surface equations are difficult to be obtained accurately.So there are many difficulties in 3D modeling and manufacturing.In order to get rid of the limitation of special machine tool,we can use the five axis machine to process the Klingelnberg gear.Five axis machining not only change the processing mode,enhance the processing ability,but also improve the processing parts of the complexity and precision,to solve many complex parts of the processing difficulties.when using the metho d of five axis machine,it can get a better contact area if the gear's module isn't very small.But the tooth contact area can't meet the requirement if the module is very small.We need to accurately establish the tooth surface model,if we want to improve the efficiency and analysis the tooth surface error.The current three-dimensional software,such as Pro/e,SolidWorks and MasterCAM,there exists some deficiencies in the complex surface modeling,although it has the function of modeling.To generate accurate tooth surface geometry of the bevel gear,we need to establish the discrete model of the tooth surface.NURBS is used in this paper to fit the points on the tooth surface,the points on the surface mesh are fitted with many small curve segments instead of small line blocks,which has a higher accuracy.So we can get a more accurate and smooth tooth surface model,which can be used to analysis tooth surface error.Therefore,this paper mainly studies the precise modeling and numerical control processing of Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear.The main research results are as follows:1.Theory of engagement and machining methods of Klingelnberg gear are generalized and summarized.2.Derivating and verificating of the tooth surface equation of the Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear.The matlab program is used to achieve the founction that when inputing tool parameters,we can get the corresponding point on the tooth surface.3.The discrete model of the tooth surface is established and the matlab iterative program is coded to obtain the discrete value point coordinate on the tooth surface mesh.4.NURBS is used to fit the points on the tooth surface,getting a more accurate tooth surface equation.5.The concave and convex surface of left-hand Klingelnberg bevel gear.
