With the development of the economy in our country and the improvement of the science and technology,the production mode of the medium and heavy plate is changed.It has changed from the traditional "little variety and large quantity" to the "multi variety and small batch".However,the existed control system for the plate production can't meet the requirements of the steel varieties.Therefore,it has great practical significance to improve the automation and the information level of the medium and heavy plate production line.This paper,research and analysis of the computer control system for plate mills,is in the background of plate rolling control systems upgrade project in one plate production Co,Ltd.Based on some relative references from domestic and abroad,a whole-line information tracking system was developed independently.The main research contents are as follows:(1)To solve the problem mentioned above,the computer controlled system in one plate production line is analyzed firstly.The architecture and each functional module of this system are also digested and assimilated.Based on this,a plan to establish an information tracking system based on the two level control systems which were combined by the process automation and the basic automation was proposed.(2)Based on the characteristics of the production process in one plate production line,a material information tracking software with 3-tier application is developed independently.This software is combined with data layer,business logic layer and presentation layer.(3)The position-tracking in rolling area is the micro level display of the material information tracking in the mill area.What's more,the specific location of the work-piece was also very vital to the automatic signal judgment of the material information tracking system.Based on this,the position tracking function of the work-piece is developed by S7-SCL language in the basic automation controller.The visualization of the material position tracking is realized by using WINCC software.(4)To optimize the allocation of the enterprise resource and to solve the data sources problem of the developed information tracking system,it is necessary to realize the data communication between the production management system and the production control system.Therefore,the data exchange between the material tracking system and the MES system is realized by using the database link-technology and the DI tool.So,the developed material tracking system is optimized and improved.(5)On-site application indicates that the developed information tracking system runs stably.It has a good tracking performance.
