Four novel[N^O]ligands(L1-L4)and eight complexes corresponding palladium,nickel,copper and cobalt(C1-C8)were designed and synthesized.Their crystal structures were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic(FT-IR)techniques.After activation with methylaluminoxane(MAO)co-catalyst,the effect of catalytic activity with the complexes C1-C8 on the polymerization of norbomene(NB)was researched systematically.The optimum programs of reaction temperature,the amount of MAO(MAO/Pd)and the concentration of NB(NB/Pd)were studied in detail.And the structure and properties of polynorbomene(PNB)were analysed by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and thermogravimetric(TG)experiment.The major research work is as follows:1.Four novel[N^O]ligands(L1-L4)and eight complexes corresponding palladium,nickel,copper and cobalt(C1-C8)were designed and synthesized.The molecular formula,functional groups and structure of L1-L4 and C1-C8 were characterized by FT-IR and H-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(H-NMR).Their structure was confirmed by elemental analysis,mass spectrometry(MS)analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.2.In the promoter of MAO,the effect of catalytic activity with complexes C1-C8 on polymerization of NB was studied systematically.The catalytic activities of palladium complexes(C1,C6 and C8)was the highest;the nickel complexes(C2,C3 and C7)was second;the copper complex(C4)and cobalt complex(C5)had little catalytic activities.3.The influence parameters,such as reaction temperature(T,30?),the amount of MAO(MAO/Pd,3000)and the concentration of NB(NB/Pd,20000),of palladium complexes(C1,C6 and C8)on the polymerization of NB have been optimized in detail.Under the optimum conditions,the catalytic activities of the complexes C1,C6 and C8 were 10.68,9.75 and 5.23×106gpNB·molpd-1·h-1,respectively.4.The structure and properties of PNB were assayed by FT-IR,XRD,TG and SEM,and the molecular weight of PNB was 1.03 ×106 g/mol by viscosimetry.
